MoveThink — Privacy Policy

Overview

MoveThink ("we", "our", "the app") is a thinking and clarity companion for people who move. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Information We Collect

1. Account information (optional)

You may use MoveThink as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to sign in, we collect:

• Your name and email address (via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In)
• An authentication token issued by Apple or Google

This information is stored securely with our authentication provider (Supabase) solely to identify your account. We do not sell or share it with third parties.

2. Session and reflection data

When you complete a thinking session the app stores on your device:

• Topics you reflected on
• Written notes and ratings you provide per topic
• Session duration, activity type (walk / run / cycle), and date
• Your final takeaway or session reflection

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3. Voice recordings (microphone)

With your permission, the app records short voice notes during or after a session. Recordings are saved exclusively to your device's private storage folder and are never uploaded or shared. You can delete any recording at any time from within the app.

4. Preferences and settings

App preferences — default activity, duration, reminder schedule, favorite sessions — are stored locally on your device using iOS AsyncStorage and are not transmitted anywhere.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the app experience
• To remember your last session configuration and preferred topics
• To display your session history, streak, and weekly stats
• To send local reminder notifications you configure (no server involved)
• To authenticate your account if you choose to sign in

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app.

Data Storage and Security

Session data, notes, voice recordings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS secure storage. If you sign in, your account credentials are managed by Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We do not operate our own servers that receive or store your personal session content.

Third-Party Services

MoveThink uses the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign In — used for authentication. Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Sign In — used for authentication. Google Privacy Policy
• Supabase — used for secure account storage and authentication. Supabase Privacy Policy

The app does not include any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or social media SDKs beyond the sign-in services listed above.

Permissions Requested

• Microphone — to record voice notes during thinking sessions (user-initiated only)
• Notifications — to deliver local session reminders you schedule in settings
• Motion & Fitness — not currently used; reserved for future movement tracking features

Children's Privacy

MoveThink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights and Data Deletion

You can delete all your locally stored data at any time from Account → Delete All Data within the app. This removes all sessions, notes, voice recordings, and preferences from your device.

If you created an account, you may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
